Some of you may have seen this shoot that I did with a pretty amazing group of wedding professionals. If you have, please enjoy it again, if you haven’t, I hope you do like it.
I decided to put it up again {I actually can’t remember if I posted it here on my own blog. Maybe I should have gone back and checked, but anyway} because it’s beautiful and we did it just about this time last year so the colors and feel is really in season and fitting.
So here we are, I’ll tell you a little about what I was thinking and who did the fabulous work as I go.
My first mention though has to go to Kristin Booth, our photographer for this shoot. She was really so great to work with. Patient and had a great eye as you will see for yourself!
The beautiful Adare Manor was our location and I wanted the feel to reflect the location and season. Because I’m a big fan of contrasts and textures, I wanted an elegant ‘Lady of the manor/country hunting lodge’ feel. It should be glamorous contrasting with the stone walls, roaring fires and as comfortable and natural as warm leather and wood and phesant feathers.
The invitation and all stationary was handmade by Jill Blanc whose attention to details on everything was fantastic. She used the Gothic ceiling pattern as the basic background for the invitations and carved out a book to fit in the full invitation suite. The rust colored velvet touches really added a lush feeling to all of the paper items.
Our beautiful model was Kate Harris. Aisling Eyre did her makeup and Sandra Crosbie did her hair with great patience with me as we went through so many dress and style changes. It was perfect every time.
Gowns came to us from De Stafford Bridal and with 8 gowns to choose from on the day, you can see why I had to do 4 gown and 2 style changes!
The flowers were fabulous by Leona Fitzmaurice of Every Occasion Florist. Better than I envisioned. I asked for color and texture and she brought it! 4 very different and equally beautiful bouquets, Leona did the table flowers and 2 different candelabra arrangements too. We were spoiled for choice.
And the dessert table. I can’t believe our resistance while all of those goodies were haging around. Notice the fabulous hand painted cake and cupcake toppers. All of these beautiful yummies were from Cloudberry Bakery.
In the table plan below, I have to go back to Jill Blanc’s creativity. Again I used pomegranates to add the fabulous color and Jill printed and decorated the envelopes where guests would find their table. She also brought along the chipmunk {complete with bow!} and antique glass box for good wedding wishes.
For the tablescape, I wanted to keep it warm and reflective. The table was covered with a simple lace table cloth from Gotcha Covered who also provided us with the linen napkins. The Autumnal Wedding harvest feeling continued into the place settings where I used pomegranates to pin the place names into and the flowers where adorned with more fruits for texture and color.
We were lucky enough to get a nice dry day, and for Kate it wasn’t terribly cold either so after the gorgeous inside shots we headed onto Adare Manor’s beautiful grounds.
Then a change of bouquets and headpiece totally changes the feeling and the look.
And another full gown change to this fabulous frilly gown for another beautiful location on the grounds.
The day was nearly over and I had to get a shot that had been in my mind all day. A hunting lodge would have riding gear so I wanted to snazz things up a bit and, once again, Kate played the part perfectly and I just love these last shots of the day!
Love those last 2!
More credit must be given though.
The jewelry and jeweled headpieces came from Knightsbridge Boutique, and if you recognized any of them, yes, some were from the Jenny Packham collection.
Feather headpieces were handmade just for us in Dingle by the super multi talented Karen Flannery.
So there we are. I hope you liked that or liked it again as the case may be.
There are a lot more photos along with a video so I may just pop some of them up in a few weeks.
